Uniforms at SEA

At. St. Edmund's Academy, we emphasize that there are two aspects to community building through our uniform: wearing the right things, and wearing those things the right way. 
 
In addition to our daily uniforms, the more formal uniforms worn on Thursdays by 1st - 8th Graders for our Community Gathering at Chapel, offers an opportunity to reaffirm our interconnectedness, demonstrating that we individually contribute our talents to the group and draw strength from each other in return. This assures a consistent and meaningful celebration of each student in our community.

Our families help us ensure that our students are wearing the right things, which gives us the opportunity to help them take pride in their personal presentation in wearing them the right way.

Lands’ End is an excellent resource for gray pants, polo shirts and dresses, turtlenecks and white dress shirts as well as burgundy Chapel blazers. When ordering, please use our school code: 900037128 as a portion of proceeds from all sales is donated to the St. Edmund’s Academy PTA.
 
SEA PTA STORE
The PTA Store is located on the ground floor of the school building next to the Coach Gathagan Gymnasium. It is your exclusive resource for second-hand uniform items, uniform-approved SEA fleece (navy and burgundy), and school ties. Refer to SEA Port News for store hours.

UNIFORMS FOR WEEKLY GATHERING AT CHAPEL

Beginning in late September, our 1st - 8th Graders gather each Thursday for our Community Gathering at Chapel. To mark the importance of this gathering where the actions of our students are celebrated and their voices are amplified, we wear a formal uniform.

PLEASE NOTE

  • Boots, clogs, heeled shoes, high-top sneakers, and light-up shoes are not acceptable footwear
  • No jeggings, grey jeans, non-uniform grey pants or yoga pants
  • Jumpers, scooters, and kilts may not be more than two inches from the top of the knee
  • Shirts must be tucked in always
  • Student athletes may wear their team jerseys over their uniforms on game days only
  • The embroidered SEA fleece is the only fleece jacket permitted to be worn over the uniform
  • Sweaters must be waist length, solid crewneck, and appear with no patterns
  • All shirts should be free from obtrusive logos or other manufacturer markings
  • PE Uniforms are required for students in 4th – 7th Grades and can be purchased in the PTA Store
